BloodsealingThis is a featured page

Bloodseals give your armor or weapon an extra stat boost that it would not normally have. To be able to bloodseal your equipment, you must have it equipped while being attacked. After a little bit of wear and tear, you may receive a pinkish-red colored message in the system chat window. It will look something like this one:Bloodsealing - Last Chaos - Guides & Information This message is telling you that you have unlocked a bloodseal slot on the equipment piece named.

Occasionally things are happening so fast that players miss the bloodseal message in the system chat window. It is a good idea to occasionally check the stats on all your equipment pieces just to make sure that you didn't. If you see this message,Bloodsealing - Last Chaos - Guides & Information, you may bloodseal that equipment piece.

Bloodseal GemBloodseals are given by Bloodseal Gems. These can be bought from the general merchant NPCs for 1,000gold each. In Randol--the starting town--you can buy them from Merchant Geres.

Bloodsealing - Last Chaos - Guides & InformationOnce a bloodseal slot is unlocked, you can drag a Bloodseal Gem from your inventory and up over the equipment piece that displays the "Bloodseal Ability" message. Don't release the gem until the name of the equipment piece appears in the little pop up. After releasing the gem, the confirmation displayed on the right will come up. Click "Confirm" to receive one of the possible bloodseal stat boosts for that equipment type. (Bloodseals may not be applied while your are using a special skill, you must wait until the skill is finished. If you attempt to bloodseal something while using a skill, you will receive an error message in the system chat window.)

Bloodsealing - Last Chaos - Guides & Information Here you can see that I have received the "Bloodseal Ability" message on my Ruin Wand +9. I apply a gem to it, then look at the weapon's stats again to find that the "Bloodseal Ability" has been replaced by a bloodseal stat boost. As you may have noticed, stat boosts are colored powder blue. On your equipment's stat screen, the bloodseals are displayed below the item's weight.

Each armor piece may hold up to 3 bloodseals and each weapon may hold up to 5. The bloodseal you receive is randomly chosen from a "pool" of all possible bloodseal for that equipment type. Here's a list of all the different possible bloodseals for each type. Contrary to popular belief, waiting to apply a Bloodseal Gem to a piece of equipment does not increase your chance of receiving a desirable stat boost. Bloodseal as soon as possible!

Purification GemIf you dislike the bloodseals you receive on something, you may remove them with a Purification Gem. These gems may also be bought from the general merchant NPCs. They are priced at 3,000gold--slightly more expensive than the Bloodseal Gems. These gems may only be used after a piece of equipment has filled up at least 3 of its bloodseal slots.

Apply the Purification Gem to the equipment piece that you want to remove the bloodseals of. A confirmation message much like the one on the right will pop up. Click "Confirm" to go through with the removal. Keep in mind that the Purification Gem removes all the bloodseals, not just the ones you don't like. Confirming the previous message will bring up this one. Now that the old seals are gone, you may reseal your equipment and try for some better ones. Bloodsealing - Last Chaos - Guides & Information

The only pieces of equipment that may not be bloodsealed are the level 73+ weapons and level 75+ armors. This is because they come with bloodseals that are already determined. However, their bloodseals do have to be identified in order to unlock their bonuses. Read the page about identifying seals to find out how to do that. Also look at the 73-133 weapon seals, 75-137 armor seals, 145+ weapon seals, and 145+ armor seals pages to see all the different possible bloodseal sets that you may receive.

KnightofPain Bloodsealing like upgrading? 2 Aug 22 2008, 12:59 AM EDT by Myko

It is true that, just like upgrading, when there is nobody around you, your bloodseals are better than when you're in for example in town?
Thanks, KnightofPain
