| Bloodseals give your armor or weapon an extra stat boost that it would not normally have. To be able to bloodseal your equipment, you must have it equipped while being attacked. After a little bit of wear and tear, you may receive a pinkish-red colored message in the system chat window. It will look something like this one: |
| Occasionally things are happening so fast that players miss the bloodseal message in the system chat window. It is a good idea to occasionally check the stats on all your equipment pieces just to make sure that you didn't. If you see this message, |

| | Here you can see that I have received the "Bloodseal Ability" message on my Ruin Wand +9. I apply a gem to it, then look at the weapon's stats again to find that the "Bloodseal Ability" has been replaced by a bloodseal stat boost. As you may have noticed, stat boosts are colored powder blue. On your equipment's stat screen, the bloodseals are displayed below the item's weight. | |||
| | ||||
| Each armor piece may hold up to 3 bloodseals and each weapon may hold up to 5. The bloodseal you receive is randomly chosen from a "pool" of all possible bloodseal for that equipment type. Here's a list of all the different possible bloodseals for each type. Contrary to popular belief, waiting to apply a Bloodseal Gem to a piece of equipment does not increase your chance of receiving a desirable stat boost. Bloodseal as soon as possible! |
| |
| Apply the Purification Gem to the equipment piece that you want to remove the bloodseals of. A confirmation message much like the one on the right will pop up. Click "Confirm" to go through with the removal. Keep in mind that the Purification Gem removes all the bloodseals, not just the ones you don't like. | | ||
| Confirming the previous message will bring up this one. Now that the old seals are gone, you may reseal your equipment and try for some better ones. | | ||
| The only pieces of equipment that may not be bloodsealed are the level 73+ weapons and level 75+ armors. This is because they come with bloodseals that are already determined. However, their bloodseals do have to be identified in order to unlock their bonuses. Read the page about identifying seals to find out how to do that. Also look at the 73-133 weapon seals, 75-137 armor seals, 145+ weapon seals, and 145+ armor seals pages to see all the different possible bloodseal sets that you may receive. |

It is true that, just like upgrading, when there is nobody around you, your bloodseals are better than when you're in for example in town?
Thanks, KnightofPain

It's kinda time-consuming to get the best combination of the bloodseals on a weapon or armor, I need several cleansing stone until it finally coems up with something I like... :) But it's the salt of the game :)
