As you probably already know, from the normal flutes and eggs that can be found as monster drops, you will receive brown horses and orange drakes.

So how do people get those spectacular purple, blue, white, green, and even golden pets? From the Item Mall.
The Item Mall sells blue flutes and pink eggs, from which you can summon a blue horse or hatch a pink dragon. It also sells Pet Coloring Crystals, which may be used to turn your pet another exotic color, if you like. Below, I have included pictures of the different colored pets and the corresponding Item Mall item.
The current selection of crystal colors is:
Dragons
| On the left is a pink dragon. This color can be gotten only by hatching and raising a dragon that originated from a Mysterious Pink Drake Egg.
Mysterious Pink Drake Eggs are tradeable and usually sell for ten to seventy-five times more than a normal Drake Egg.
If you buy a dragon that originated from a Mysterious Pink Drake Egg, its pet icon will show a pink dragon. |
The Pet Coloring Crystals are all tradeable. That means you can buy them from player shops in-game or from other players via trade. The crystals can also be found in the Item Mall for 45 AP a piece. All of the following colored dragons have been colored using Pet Coloring Crystals. A dragon that has had a Pet Coloring Crystal used on it will still show the original drake icon, be careful not to get scammed when buying a "colored" pet. The best way to avoid a scam is to request that the seller show you the pet, then equip their other one while doing the trade with you. (Most people selling colored pets already have a second one.) If either one of the pets is unmounted, this will need to happen outside town.
Here's is a ferocious red dragon! This color can be gotten by applying a Red Pet Coloring Crystal to any type of dragon, plain or already colored.
Dragons are naturally orange, so it is considered a waste to use an Orange Pet Coloring Crystal on them. Any dragon that has had an Orange Pet Coloring Crystal applied to it will look just a little bit darker orange than normal, that's all.
Want to stand out? Try a bright yellow dragon. This color can be gotten by applying a Yellow Pet Coloring Crystal to any type of dragon, plain or already colored.
On the right is a very lizard-like green dragon. This color can be gotten by applying a Green Pet Coloring Crystal to any type of dragon, plain or already colored.
This is a special color, gotten only from a Blue Pet Coloring Crystal. It is known best as SilverRose Blue though.

This dark blue dragon reminds me of something a fairy tale wizard would ride. This color can be gotten by applying a Dark Blue Pet Coloring Crystal to any type of dragon, plain or already colored.

Wow, a pretty silvery dragon! This color can be gotten by applying a White Pet Coloring Crystal to any type of dragon, plain or already colored.
The grey dragon looks much like a storm cloud. This color can be gotten by applying a Black Pet Coloring Crystal to any type of dragon, plain or already colored.
Horses
| This is a light blue horse. This color can be gotten only by summoning and raising a horse that originated from a Blue Pan Flute. Currently, these blue horses are glitched because they still have brown ears and their reigns/saddle don't look too good. This will be fixed... eventually.
Blue Pan Flutes are tradeable and usually sell for ten to seventy-five times more than a normal Pan Flute.
If you buy a horse that originated from a Blue Pan Flute, its pet icon will show a light blue horse. |
