Dratan, the "dry area", lies just west of where the war of the gods took place. This is a harsh place to live and is tightly controlled by what are now neutral Titan forces. This was Eres' main base during the war; from Dratan he marched his armies east and nearly conquoredconquered lush Juno. But because of the coalition forces of Elves and Humans and rebel Titans, he was unable to capture the land of Juno. Eres and his forces were pushed back west, back into Dratan. The fighting that went on destroyed much of the northeastern area of Dratan.

The main city, Dratan City, is located in the most mildly warm area of Dratan along the northern border. The plains and plateaus to the south are too barren for anything to survive on. Even the monsters avoid them as much as possible. Instead, monsters of all kinds crowd together in the northern half of the land; in some cases, some very unusual species are found cohabitating. Some interesting cross-breeds have resulted.
