Extreme cube systemThis is a featured page

Note: The Extreme Cube System can only be done on the first subserver for each server group.

Introduction

This is a new dungeon somewhat similar to the Monster Combo. Here you are allowed to join up with a party of guild members and various monsters. The NPC that takes you to the dungeon is located in Merac near NPC Magician Kihan at the coordinates of 1030, 740. There you will see 5 colored cubes that are rotating.

For each cube, players can purchase a ticket to join as a party or in a guild. To enter, the players will have to talk to the Red Cube.

In this system, you will fight high level creatures in a room. For each room, you will need to clear the all the enemies and then destroy the cube that appears at the end. You will then move onto the next stage. This process will continue until everyone has reached the final stage where a boss creature awaits. There are 25 rooms in all. Once 25 rooms have been cleared, players will then enter the Boss Room.

How to Play

  1. Players buy a ticket to register.
  2. Players enter by talking to the Red Cube.
  3. Players kill all the enemies in the room.
  4. Players destroy a cube that appears in the middle of the room.
  5. Proceed to the next room.
  6. Complete 25 rooms to gain entry to the final room containing the boss creature.

Note: If two parties do encounter each other, they will have to eliminate all the enemies and the other opposing team to move on.

Guild Cube (Not Implemented Yet)

This system allows guilds to gather together to fight through the levels of the cube. Guilds compete to get the highest cube points and get the rights as Cube Master.

By default the guild cube matches begin at 5:00 pm PST on Wednesdays on Sub-server 1. This time can be changed by the Game Masters for special events or if players want to participate in this mode more often.

The guild cube system allows guilds to enter the extreme cube and work together to advance to successive levels of the cube system. If a guild beats a certain level then they get some cube points. Cube points will rank you against other guilds on the server. You can check these rankings by choosing the “Status of Guild CP” option from any cube.

During a guild cube session, rival guilds can meet and participate in a PvP combat. So guilds have to kill not only the creatures, but also the other guilds' members to advance to the next stage and gain cube points.

Players in a guild will need to purchase a Cube Ticket Guild on a set day. Only players in that guild will be able to join and players who plan to enter as a party will not be able to while the Guild Cube is in effect. They will have to wait until it is over to participate.

Important: Do not purchase the Cube Ticket Guild from any of the NPCs as this feature is not implemented yet.

viciousnugget LVL 102 skill books 5 Feb 6 2010, 2:06 AM EST by purpleflame

I have found skill books in the cube before but they don't seem to drop anymore. As a group we have always had at least 1 skill book drop in the first 3 levels. Yesterday we cleared 11 levels and not a single book. I even tried using luck spell, lucky scrolls and idb to no avail. Does the cube still drop books or did they mess it up in a recent patch?

By the way the cube is pretty darn extreme. Look for a wall as soon as you enter the next stage. Focus on the Kamira looking monsters, they heal the rest of the monsters and the magic dealers. Shied Lich especially, they debuff you removing minerals and any idb you may have on. Death knights are manageable as long as the lichs aren't agro on you and debuffing you. You have been warned! LOL. Enjoy the cube.

Are there any prizes for completing the Cube? I mean surely you'd get something after doing 25 rounds of monsters, killing other parties, and then mowing down a boss monster.

Could someone tell me if there is an xp/sp penalty for getting killed in the cube (1) death by mobs (2) death by pvp?
