| Equipment |
| I just saw this reddish-pink message in my System chat box that said something about blood and seals. What's that about? When you have fought for a certain amount of time with any piece of equipment, you will unlock a Bloodseal slot on it. Bloodseal slots allow you to use Bloodseal Gems on that equipment piece to give it a special added bonus stat. Bloodseal Gems may be bought from general merchant NPCs. In Randol City, that NPC is Merchant Geres. At low-levels ( < 25 ) you go through armor fairly quickly, so adding bloodseals to your equipment pieces is not necessary. However, in the mid- and high-levels, bloodseals and their bonuses become invaluable and equipment pieces with impressive seals sell for quite a bit. You may have up to 3 bloodseals on any armor piece and up to 5 bloodseals on any weapon. Once all your Bloodseal slots are filled, you can wipe the equipment clean (remove the bloodseals) and try again, if you like, by using a Purification Gem. These may also be purchased from general merchant NPCs. Read more about Bloodsealing. I've got this piece of equipment that's above my level. When can I use it? You are allowed to use armor pieces up to 5 levels higher than you and weapons up to 4 levels higher than you. However, level 73 and higher equipments cannot be equipped below their level unless they have an "Decrease level limit of apparel" bloodseal on them. You may equip armor pieces more than 5 levels higher and weapons more than 4 levels higher, however if you do this you will receive pretty heavy defense and attack penalties. For example, if you equip one armor piece that is 6 levels higher than you, your total defense will be reduced by 50%. If you equip a weapon that is 8 levels higher than you, your total attack will be reduced by 70%. The more out of your range a piece of equipment is, the greater the penalty on it will be (possible penalties are 50%, 70%, 90%). Where can I get new weapons and armor for myself? There are several different ways to get new equipment for your character. They are:
Why doesn't the NPC sell equipment for my class? The equipment you're looking for may simply be further down on the list of items in the NPC's shop. There is a thin scrollbar to the right of the list of items -- use it! What does upgrading my equipment do for me and why should I do it? Upgrading is a great way to improve your equipment! Upgrading adds extra attack (for weapons) or defense (for armor). Also, certain levels have extra effects to improve your equipment more. The weapon upgrade page shows how much your weapon can be improved and more info on the special effects. The armor upgrade page shows how much your armor can be improved and more on the special effects. Also, upgraded weapons and armor have visual effects. What's that little pet fairy thing for? How do I get it? When you upgrade all your armor (except the head piece) to +4 or higher then you will have this fairy appear. The more the armor is upgraded, the bigger the fairy will be. The fairy itself does nothing. See here for what the fairy looks like for the various upgrade levels. |
| Your character |
| How do I apply a buff (general skill that increases certain stats) to myself? To apply one of your buffs to your own character, click on your character's name above their HP/MP bars in the upper-left corner of the screen. Clicking your name will cause you to target yourself and you will be allowed to proceed to cast buffs on your target -- yourself. |

| I've heard there are other maps. What are their names? There are a total of 5 main maps. They are Juno, Dratan, Merac, Egeha, and Strayana. Each of these has various dungeons as well. Juno has the four personal dungeons, as well as the the Velpist Temple and Ebony Mine public dungeons. Dratan has the Prokion Temple, Temple of Forgetfulness, and Tomb of Theos public dungeons, as well as the Monster Combo Dungeon for parties to enter. Merac has the Maargadam Jail and Misty Canyon public dungeons, as well as the Guild Cube dungeon for guilds and parties to enter. Egeha has the tower of Lust Trum as its public dungeon. Strayana has the Golem's Cave, Spirit Cave, and Quanian's Cave public dungons. Maps to all these may be found here. Monster information for all these may be found here. Information about the Monster Combo Dungeon can be found here. How do I get to other maps? You may travel to another map by teleporting there. You may teleport to them by talking to a teleporter or having someone recall you. Find out about all the different teleporters. Are teleporters free? Usage of the teleporters is free, however, some zones require you to pay an entry fee. There are two zones that have fees attached: Egeha (map) and the Monster Combo Dungeon (dungeon). To enter Egeha you must pay 800,000 gold, unless you are recalled there by someone else (see What's a recall (RC)? below). The fee for the Monster Combo Dungeon depends on the combination of monsters chosen. See the teleporters page for more information. What's a memory scroll? Town return scroll? A memory scroll allows you to store locations and teleport to them. However, you must be on the same map as the desired location to teleport there. A town return scroll will return you to the main town on your current map. What's a recall (RC)? A recall is when player uses a recall card to teleport party members to his or her location. These cards may be obtained from the item mall or from other players' shops. How can I get to other places on the same map faster, if I don't have a memory scroll and no one will recall me? You can use potions of haste to make your character run faster as will traveling on a mounted pet. Mounted pets also have an ability to teleport you to the main town on your current map. |
| NPCs (Non-Player Characters) |
| Who is Lorraine? Where can I find her? Lorraine will be a very important character during your low-levels as she gives you many quests and rewards for reaching different levels. She can be found in the south-west corner of Juno, not far from the Class Masters. Also, you talk to her for some events. Where is Jajan? (See Pets section also) Jajan is a character that will help you get your horse or drake. He is found in Dratan and you can ask any NPC you encounter for directions to him. | Pets |
| How do I get a pet? There are four pets to choose from: a horse, drake, scra-chi, or ichi. These pets are earned through quests. See the pet quests page for information on these quests. To get a horse or a dake you must find a drake egg or pan flute, respectively. Drake Egg = Dragon Hatchling. Pan Flute = Pony. To get a scra-chi or ichi you must first find a Torn Book of Life Chapter 1 or Tornn Book of Life Chapter 2, respectively. When you find one of these, you must go to Lorraine, she will direct you to the next step in the quests. Note: After getting your pet, the Drake Egg / Pan Flute / Torn Book of Life Chapter 1 / Torn Book of Life Chapter 2 will disappear from your inventory. Where is Jajan? (See NPCs section also) Jajan is a character that will help you get your horse or drake. He is found in Dratan and you can ask any NPC you encounter for directions to him. How do I heal or feed my pet? To heal your horse or drake you must cut herbs. You should buy a knife (according to your class) and not far from outside of Juno you will find herb patches where you can collect those. To feed your horse or drake you must mine stones, buy a pickaxe/hammer (for your class) and you will be able to find a couple of mines not far from Randol. To heal your scra-chi or ichi you must use a bandage on it. Their mana is recovered using Cold Water or Thick Milk. To feed your scra-chi or ichi you must feed it a Cheese Cookie. All of these items may be bought from Pet Merhcant Polly. Read more about caring for your horse or drake's needs. Read more about caring for your scra-chi or ichi's needs. What is that huge pet? How do I get one? That HUGE pet is called a mount. Only horses and drakes may be mounted and only when it's level 31or higher. After you mount your horse or drake, it gets new skills. Learn about mounting your horse or dragon. Learn what the different mount skills are! Will my pet grow? How long will it take? Only horses and drakes grow in size. Your horse or drake will grow in size at level 16 and again when you mount it. Horses and drakes level about 4x faster than you. At lower levels, your horse or drake levels quickly but later on it takes much longer. Find out how much pet XP is required for each pet level. How do I teach my pet skills? There is an Animal Trainer NPC in both Juno and Dratan, if you talk to him you will find many options, one of them is to teach your pet skills. To teach your Scra-chi or Ichi, you will need to also bring a Battle Skill Book which may be gotten from the Moon statue. |
| Skills |
| What skills are available to me? Each class gets its own set of skills. Also everyone can learn the gathering, processing, and crafting skills. Read up about the different class skills! Learn the skill requirements, skill uses, skill effects, and more. What's the difference between gathering skills and processing skills? Gathering skills increase the speed at which you gather raw materials. There are three different gathering skills: mining, which increases the speed at which you gather stones from a mine; absorption, which increases the speed at which you absorb energy from a crystal; and harvesting, which increases the speed at which you harvest herbs from an herb. Processing skills give you the ability to process raw materials and turn them into processed materials, which are used for crafting various pieces of equipment. The higher your processing skills, the better a chance of success you will have when processing. There are three different processing skills: stone processing, for processing stones; energy processing, for processing energy; and herb processing, for processing herbs. Read more about gathering, processing, weaponsmithing, armorsmithing, and alchemy. |
| Things to do |
| I just finished this dungeon thing and am in a place with lots of people, what is this and where do I go from here? Have no fear, you're in Randol City! Randol City is on the map Juno, which is the main map in the game. Every time you log in, you start in Randol City. There are two city gates -- north and west. The city has one circular road running close to the walls with two roads essentially crisscrossing in the middle of that circle. When you spawn in Randol, you will be on the main plaza, which is adjacent to the place where the crisscrossed roads meet. Follow either one of them north or west to reach a gate. It doesn't matter which gate you pick, the same creatures you need to hunt are outside of both. To start off with you should hunt these creatures and learn about the various aspects of the game through this wiki, from others in the game, and the official forums. See maps of Juno and Randol City. Read up on the kinds of creatures found in Juno. Are there any quests for me? There's probably at least one! Sometimes, when you reach a certain requirement for a quest, the quest will automatically pop up for you and allow you to start it. But most of the time you have to track down the NPC that gives the quest before you can do anything for it. There are lots of quests in the lower levels that help you learn some basic game skills and how to get around. There is a complete quest list in the Quest list section of the wiki. It will help you find the quests you have available to you at your level and tell you everything you need to know about getting and completing them. How do I mine stones, gather herbs, or absorb energy? To mine stones you will need a pick axe (for males) or hammer (for females). Simply equip your pick axe or hammer, go to the mining field north east of the north gate, and click on a ore vein or ore mine. More info here. To gather herbs you will need a knife. Simply equip your knife, go to the harvesting field a little north of the north gate, and click on either a herb or magical herb. More info here. To absorb energy you will need an energy collector. Simply equip your energy collector, go to the energy absorbing field a little north east of the north gate, and click on either an energy stone or energy rock. More info here. All the tools may be purchased from Merchant Geres (in Juno) or Merchant Tino (in Dratan) and are specific to your class. How do I make my own equipment? First you will need to learn the Armorsmithing and Weaponsmithing skills. Each type of equipment (gloves, boots, weapons, etc) has its own manual. To make your own equipment, you will need the manual for that type of equipment. For example, if you want to make Goddess Gloves (level 30 healer gloves) then you will need the level 30 Gauntlet Production Manual. The manuals tell you what the required materials are for the various equipments it can make. Once you have all the required materials you can make the item by opening the manual, selecting the equipment you want to make, and pushing the confirm button. For more details see the armorsmithing page. |
