| Gathering skills are all extremely important. To be able to take care of your horse or drake, you must gather. To be able create potions, you must gather. To be able to craft tears and crystals, you must gather. To be able to craft armors and weapons, you must gather. Some players can even make a decent income off of just gathering and selling the raw materials. The ability to gather raw materials is obviously one of the most basic -- yet the most necessary -- skills for survival. The pages in this section will teach you how to... gather! |
| There are three different types of raw materials that may be gathered. These are stones, energy waves, and herbs. Each type is further broken down into three different kinds of materials. You can learn about those on the pages I've linked to here: |
| Learn about mining stones | Learn about absorbing energy | Learn about harvesting herbs |
| Gathering tools all have a stat called endurance. With every item gathered using the tool, the endurance decreases and eventually runs out. When a tool looses all of its endurance it breaks. All tools start off with 7,200 endurance and loose about 4 endurance with each item gathered. Tool boosters such as Tool Aids work regardless of the tools endurance, but will break the tool once the boosted tool has been used and the items gathered. Look at the maps below to see where clusters of each type of raw material are located. Only Juno and Dratan have these clusters. Merac and Egeha have no places where raw materials may be gathered. |
| The orange dots are mines, the blue dots are energy circles, and the green dots are herb patches. All of these areas are "safe zones" like the towns are, so don't worry about being attacked while gathering. |

| Dratan | ||
IMPORTANT: Dratan version 2 is now out so the clusters marked on this map (the map of Dratan version 1) may or may not be correct. This map will be redone as soon as possible. | ||
| If you look at Dratan's map, you may notice that there are three, special material gathering areas marked on it. These are the Mudika Mine, Hizal Energy Cluster, and Serel Farm. All three of the areas are labeled "private land." |
| The private lands were created for the people who do not have enough SP or do not care to increase the levels of their gathering skills. When you gather from one of the private lands, you will gather with the same speed of someone who has Advanced Level 3 of the related gathering skill. But! This skill boost is not free. You have to pay 30 gold for every single raw material that you get. Some people say that it's worth it, others think it's a waste of money. I personally dislike the private lands just because they're huge, empty (people-less) areas. But that's me. |
| All money paid for materials gathered from the private lands will go to the guild that owns Dratan Castle. |
| There is another type of skill booster that may be used to increase your gathering speed. This is called a Tool Aid. Read more about it on this page. |
