| To open a shop first you have to press Alt+A or A. Then you should see a window like the one to the right pop up. Click on the shield like icon: Note: You must be at least level 10 to open a shop. You may only open a shop in town. | |
| You should now see a window similar to the big one pictured to the left. The lower part of the window shows your inventory. To add something to your shop just double-click on it. A box will pop up asking you how much you want to sell the item for. Type in your price then click "Confirm". If there is more than one of that item in your inventory, another box will pop up and ask you to confirm the amount of that item you want to sell. Once you have made sure that the right amount is in there, click "Confirm" again. Note: Do not use commas or any other sort of punctuation in your price. Just type in the numbers in the correct order. IMPORTANT: Count those zeros! | |
| The thing you are going to sell will now show up in the top part of your shop window. Repeat this process with the rest of the items. Note: You can fit a total of ten different types of items in your shop. | |
| Once you have all your items ready for sale, type a shop name in at the bottom of the window and click "Opening Sale" to open your shop. Its name will appear in white lettering with a thin green border as pictured to the left. | |
| You can even open a package for sale! You're allowed to put up to five items in a package. People who are selling packages get that big golden box for a shop sign, instead of just the normal green one. Compare the previous sample sign with the sample sign below. To sell a package, you must first click the checkbox on the right-hand side of the shop window. Now drag the items you want to package from your inventory in the bottom part of the screen and up into the package box. Once all the package items are in there, type in a price next to the little pile of gold. Don't worry about the "Confirm" button not lighting up -- that's not there for you! Just type in the package price, then when you open your shop, you will have a package! | |
| Checking the checkbox is like saying "I know I must pay tax for this". This is why this reminder pops up if you don't check that first. The tax is 2% of your earnings on all the items that are in your shop at the time, not just in the package. Taxes will be automatically deducted from anything you sell while in package mode. These taxes go to whichever guild owns Kandant Castle for the server group you play on. | |
