Identifying sealsThis is a featured page

Some items have "set" bloodseals or stats that they will always come with. These are the level 73+ weapons and level 75+ armors, and unique accessories. When you get one of these items as a drop and look at its stats, you will see that in the bloodseal or stat area there is a red message that says <secret properties>. No matter which stats the item is supposed to have, you will receive no stat boosts from it as long as that red message is there.

Here's an example of what something with unidentified stats looks like. To identify the stats on it and get rid of that <secret properties> message, you need to buy a magnifying glass from a Scroll Trader NPC. The most well-known one is the Juno's Scroll Trader Gerel, located just north of the west gate. Boss Raid monsters and unique accessories - Last Chaos - Guides & Information

Magnifying Glass
Golden Magnifying Glass
There are two types of magnifying glasses--normal Magnifying Glasses and Golden Magnifying Glasses. The normal ones are cheaper, but have only about a 60% chance of working. The golden ones are more expensive, but work 100% of the time. Most players feel that it is better to buy Golden Magnifying Glasses because if you use a normal one and it fails you'll have to buy another and end up actually paying more.

Boss Raid monsters and unique accessories - Last Chaos - Guides & Information To use a magnifying glass on an item with <secret properties>, double-click the magnifying glass' icon in your inventory. This window will come up. Drag the item you want to identify into the box on the bottom half of the window.

Identifying seals - Last Chaos - Guides & Information Click "Yes" to move on to the result message. If you are using a Golden Magnifying Glass, you'll get the success message shown on the left. If you're using a normal Magnifying Glass, you may receive a failure message instead.

Now you can view the stats on your identified item!

IMPORTANT: Level 73-133 weapons, level 75-137 armors, 145+ weapons, and 145+ armors have many different 3-seal, 4-seal, 5-seal, or 6-seal "sets" that they may end up with. When identifying them there is a chance that you will only get part of a set and not all of it.

When identifying unique accessories, the complete "set" of stats that that unique accessory will always be revealed.
