| The Master of Processing Materials is an NPC that will do your processing for you--for a price. He is there for people who do not have the necessary processing skills to be able to do their own processing. The Master of Processing Materials' skill level is equivalent to level 1 of any of the processing skills. That means he has a 25% success rate, so if you use him be ready for a lot of failures. When you talk to the Master of Processing Materials, this window will open up. Select the option that corresponds with the type of processing you'd like him to do for you. | ||
| Let's say you select option 2, "Herb Processing." If you do that, this window will open. As you can see, the Master of Processing Materials tells you that he might fail at his processing attempts. However, he assures you that you will not have to pay for the failures. Now let's assume you want some Herb Trunks processed. Again, you select option 2, "Process Herb Trunk." The following window opens up. | ||
| This window displays the different sort of production materials that may be made out of Herb Trunks. If you click on the one you want, the required raw materials and the Master of Processing Materials' processing fee will show up in the lower section. As you can see, one unit of Linen takes two Herb Trunks and costs 42 gold. But what if you need more than one unit of Linen? To raise/lower the amount of Linen you want the Master of Processing Materials to make for you, you can click on the tiny arrows that are displayed on the far right, just past the listed number of units to be made. | ||
| If you click the up-arrow once, the displayed units of Linen will change to a 2. You will also notice that the number of required raw materials doubled, as well as the gold fee. The Master of Processing Materials can only attempt to process one type of thing at a time, though he can do it in unlimited amounts. If you do processing yourself, you can only attempt to process one amount of one thing at a time. So doing the processing yourself is slower, however in the long run it saves money and time because you'll have a higher success rate than the Master of Processing. Again, I will say that the Master of Processing is really only for those people who have no processing skills at all. | ||
