Mount (Re-)Training (P1 Pets)This is a featured page

Make your P1 Pet a Mount:

Pets can become mounts any time after they have reached level 31. To turn your pet into a mount, go to the Animal Trainer and select option 2, "Mount Training."

Some people mount their pets as soon as they turn level 31, while others choose to wait a bit longer. The level at which your pet becomes a mount determines how many Technical Points you will have to distribute amongst your pet's new mount skills. Look at which skills you'd like your mount to have and count up the required number of Technical Points. Then train your pet to a level that is one above the amount of Technical Points you will need.

Train Mount PetWhen you select option 2, "Mount Training," this window will pop up to reminded you to make sure that correct pet is equipped. It also lets you know that you will lose all your unmounted pet's passive skills and will have to redistribute the pet's TP into its mount skills

What this window does not tell you is that your pet, once mounted, will cease to gain XP. Be warned!

This is a safety net to prevent curious people from accidentally mounting a pet they did not want to. If you are absolutely sure that you are ready to turn your pet into a mount, select "Confirm." If you decide not to mount your pet, hit "Cancel.

Make your P1 Pet an Unmount again:

Pet Mount Retraining CardDid you know that you can retrain a mounted pet to turn it back into an unmounted pet? To do this, you need to buy a Pet Mount Retraining Card from the Item Mall. These currently cost 250 AP, or USD$2.50. They are tradeable items and may also be bought in-game from player shops.

Once you have the card, equip the mount that you wish to retrain and take it to the Animal Trainer in Juno or Dratan to get its skills reset. Then drag your mount's icon from your inventory into the little box in the middle of the message window. It should look something like the one on the right.

Check to make sure that you've got the right pet in there. Then hit the "Yes" button.

Note: your pet will loose all it's colours and patterns from the Customization Cards and Colour Crystals.Pet Mount Retrain
