Phoenix Upgrade SystemThis is a featured page

The Phoenix Upgrade System is known as an "alternate advancement system". It allows players who have already gotten at least one of their characters past level 100 to experience a unique new way of leveling up a new character.

Once you have a character that is level 100 or higher, you can create a new character to become a phoenix. An empty character slot is, of course, required to be able to create the new character. This new character will then need to acquire an item called the Phoenix Ticket and hold it in their inventory. The Phoenix Ticket can be gotten as a drop from the monsters in the Strayana public dungeons. See more information about these dungeons on the Monster Information page.

Once you have obtained a Phoenix Ticket by getting it as a drop or buying it, you can transfer it to your new character's inventory via Bianca's warehouse. Store the Phoenix Ticket with Bianca, then switch to your new character and pick it up from her. The Phoenix Ticket has to be taken to the Phoenix Club Master NPC. This NPC is located in Randol City, Juno between the Moon Statue and Captain Leon.

When you talk to the Phoenix Club Master, you will be allowed to choose whether or not you really want to register your new character as a phoenix. If you choose to have your new character become a phoenix and if you meet all of the requirements, you will be able to successfully become one. If you do not meet all of the requirements, the Phoenix Club Master will give you an "error" message explaining that you can't become a phoenix yet.

The requirements for becoming a phoenix are as follows:
  • You must have a level 100 or higher character on your account already.
  • You must create another character, completely new, on your account.
  • Your new character (the one applying to become a phoenix) must be on the same server as your level 100+ character.
  • Your new character must have a Phoenix Ticket.
  • Your new character must be under level 30.

There are many advantages to having your character become a phoenix. These include:
  • Your new character is automatically leveled up to level 35.
  • Your new character is given an extra 30 Stat Points to spend.
  • Your new character is given extra Skill Points to spend. The maximum you may get is 4,000 SP.
    • The longer you wait to become a phoenix, the lower your SP bonus will be. A level 1 character that becomes a phoenix will receive the maximum 4,000 SP. Each time you gain a level (before becoming a phoenix) you will lose 100 SP from your bonus.
    • All existing SP will be kept when your character becomes a phoenix.

HUNMagnum Phoenix gear upgrading 1 Oct 10 2009, 2:04 PM EDT by purpleflame

Yes, you can upgrade your phoenix armor and weapons. With smelts (at least lvl 50-53), HS, LSS, CSS and ES too. It can get to +15 but it can break aswell. Upgraded my RK's gear to +7, broke my boots at +8. Maybe we should do another page with the attack and defense values for these phoenix weps and armor parts... or are the values similar (the same) as the lvl 50-52 armor & lvl 53 weapon stats?
