Many new pet-owners often wonder what sort of fun abilities their cute little pet has. Here's the place to find out! Look below for descriptions of pet commands for unmounted drakes and horses, and the various actions given to unmounted/mounted pets.

The following pet commands may only be taught to unmounted pets. To have your pet learn them, talk to the Animal Trainer and select option 1, "Pet Training." These will be listed under the "Command" tab. They're all free to learn--that is, they don't cost any Technical Points.

Unmounted actions Mounted actions
Things your pet can do - Last Chaos - Guides & InformationSummon. When your pet is equipped, this summons it to your location. This action has the same result as unequipping and re-equipping the pet, but it's faster. Works best for "finding" your pet when they've been left behind, or when they get stuck on something Things your pet can do - Last Chaos - Guides & InformationVillage return. With a mount you'll never need to buy another Town Recall scroll again! This mount skill instantly teleports you back to the nearest town on the map--for free. That's more than you can say about those old scrolls.
Things your pet can do - Last Chaos - Guides & InformationPick up. Definitely the most useful of all the pet actions! This one tells your pet to pick up all drops that are within range (even if they're not yours). If your pet is doing the clean-up, then you will be able to continue fighting non-stop--thus allowing you to level up faster. Things your pet can do - Last Chaos - Guides & InformationResting. Did you know you can "sit" while riding a mount? A "sitting" knightmare will have its head down, and a "sitting" dragon will land and fold its wings in. If your mount is sitting, your HP and MP will recharge much faster than if you just "stand" on the mount.

Things your pet can do - Last Chaos - Guides & InformationSpeed move. Just like the walk action but for your pet! It increases/decreases your pet movement. Not recommended.

does this really work?? i have tried it and it doesn't seem to make the pet move any faster?

"Speed move. This makes your pet zip around like it's on adrenaline. If you're running long distances, you might want to hotkey this action and hold down the button so your pet will keep up with you."
