Stat effects change a little after your character has picked a job. Here are the stat point effects on Warmasters:

Strength	+0.67 Physical Attack +0.011% Weight
Dexterity	+0.9 Critical +0.6 Deadly
Intelligence	+0.67 Magical Attack
Constitution	+3 Health +3 Mana

And here are the stat point effects on Highlanders:

Strength	+0.67 Physical Attack +0.08% Weight
Dexterity	+0.9 Critical +0.6 Deadly
Intelligence	+0.625 Magical Attack +8 Mana
Constitution	+3 Health +3 Mana

It appears that "0.08%" weight is equal to about 10.667 in item weight. (data taken from highlander side only however) So each point of Strength gives a +10.667 item weight bonus.
