I have a few Questions and comments...Would the same people retain control of the wiki? Would we need to use our Aeria usernames and passwords to post or our Wetpaint ones? For those who have added lots of content and done lots of work... Any chance of them getting free AP? ^-^ Could you link a thread to discuss this to the post announcing the move? 1. Would the same people retain control of the wiki?Yes, purpleflame and I would still administrate the wiki. I have no intention of turning it over to the GMs. 2. Would we need to use our Aeria usernames and passwords to post or our Wetpaint ones? You would use your Wetpaint account. The site would still be run from Wetpaint, it would just have a customized URL instead of the default Wetpaint one it has right now. 3. For those who have added lots of content and done lots of work... Any chance of them getting free AP? ^-^ No, because this wiki has been built independent of Aeria. It has become an awesome resource for LC players all over the world, but it was not started or supported by Aeria, so no free AP from them. 4. Could you link a thread to discuss this to the post announcing the move? Right now this is just an idea I have offered to Aeria to counter their suggestions to me. If they like it and want to go with it, then there will probably be a post made on Aeria's forums. (I can provide the link then, if it happens.) Keyword there is IF. :) Do you find this valuable? |

Ona/Effy,I would implore you to not let LC link directly here if the URL is going to remain *.aeriagames.com which I'm sure is what they have in mind. They are basically looking to steal away all your hard work. Besides have you googled last chaos wiki lately, cause you're #2. You are plenty easy to find. purpleflame i read that, but its not eaxctly what I am talking about. They can redirect people here in such a way that the URL will continue to read *.aeriagames.com, there by somewhat making it seem like this part of the aeria site. Just watch your back, they are not to be trusted ;-)

I agree with Roland. This wiki is plenty easy to find for one. Secondly I'd like this site to remain independent from aeriagames for the fact that my firewall at work blocks any access to aeria sites. When I am on lunch I like to look up info that I may be pondering on. This merge may or may not lock me out of this wiki for that reason. If you re 100% certain that this merge will not lock me out then I see no problem in following through. I feel it will as any site that gets tagged as a game site is automatically blocked from my view. LMAO! Don't ruin my lunch hour!

I know what Aeria wants for the company and I know what I want for the community. If the wants don't mesh it's not going to happen. I'm still awaiting a response from Aeria. I get the feeling my suggestion didn't sit too well with them, lol. Thank you both for the reassurance that the wiki is easy enough to find. I just went and did a Google search and found that it does show up as #2. The only one above this one is Aeria's wiki. :) Do you find this valuable? |

The thing I am most worried about in this "possible" merger is the fact that Aeria Games seems to want total control over everything that has to do with their games. The other point I need to make here is what is the point of merging when the AGE wiki for lc already posts a link directly to this wiki. People need more info let them use that link.

Aeria has not responded to me about this, so I think it's safe to assume they weren't pleased. Guess that's that.
