Cleric stat points.
Feb 19 2010, 11:14 AM EST
I noticed that the Cleric guide only goes to level 140. May I ask when the guide will be updated, to include the remaining 25 levels, please? Also, will there be any stat points put onto Strength? Or will they be put onto either Dexterity, Intelligence, and Constitution?Thank you. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Unless I (or someone else) get some info to change the pattern, just keep putting into dexterity. However, if you use critical potions and such all the time then you might be better off putting points into intelligence instead. The idea was to use dexterity to help you get more criticals if you are opting away from critical potions and such.Hope I Helped ^^ 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Thank you, PurpleFlame.I have added up the stat points for level's 141 - 165, and it comes to 88. Until we all know better, I'm going to put 22 points on Strength, 22 points on Constitution, the remaining 44 points onto Dexterity, and then use the Intelligence of Healer passive skill, to increase Intelligence. If stat points distribution ends up being different to this, I can al\ways go to Crean, to reset the required stat points for redistribution. Do you find this valuable? |

My opinion is that the stat points should be distributed on intelligence, and not on dexterity. I resetted stat points once and put them on dex, and (as one of the top clerics of Katar also said), it only made my magical attack go lower and it didn't really gave me a fantastic crit rate. I had seen clerics that put stats on dex and still need crit pot to make some "serious grinding". As the crit pot is still needed I would go to max damage (when I use a crit pot I rarely don't hit a crit). Also, with max int it increases the efficiency of Sapphires and Opals. For lazy grinding, I am fine with just my set of acc with crit seals. This is my opinion, but you should put your stats where you feel more confortable. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Thank you for your response, Irea. :) Always appreciated.Putting stat points onto Constitution is understandable, as it increases hitpoints and mana. And Clerics use mana for heals and buffs. Strength, I'm hoping that it'll help, even by just a little bit, to compensate for the lack of class strength. Dexterity, you have a point here. Until I learn differently, I'm assuming that Dexterity is there, mainly to benefit the Archers, but not the Clerics. What I'll do, then, is to spread the 88 stat points evenly (22 points on Strength, 22 points on Dexterity, 22 on Intelligence, and 22 on Constitution.). And then use Intelligence Of Healer, to boost Intelligence higher. Do you find this valuable? |

For being a cleric since lvl 32, (3 years already) I would say... intelligence is still what get us stronger in our attack and defence. I would like to have a faster tennis motion.... just take forever to level up and and get some sp.... Every friend I have that was lower lvl then me are now caping me!!! Kinda frustrated to be a cleric where are the party like before when we were needed? >.<

Don't put your stats into Strenght. Clerics don't need strenght. The only thing this stat will give you would be to reduce the weight you carry, other than that, nothing.I would consider in redistributing those into Intelligence or Constitution. Do you find this valuable? |

At 140 and above, stats points on constitution is better. You may make a bit less damage, but at least with the boost on your HP and MP you would be able to heal much more more (yourself and your party members) and you will be able to survive much better, killing more monsters, without counting that as the master heals skills heals your HP percentage and not an exact amount of poitns like others, it will be even better to you.At level 157 with a mana ove wand and stats on constitution you will kinda feel like you are in heaven. Of course my 157 wand has a lot of Master Stones, but still. You won't get 2 hit killed as before and you will actually have time to heal yourself and keep attacking. Do you find this valuable? |
